Leanne focuses on commercial leasing law, drawing from significant experience developed in private and in-house practise. She is a skilled negotiator with expertise in drafting the following:

  • retail leases
  • office leases
  • ground leases
  • mixed-use and industrial leases
  • ancillary lease documentation

She represents landlords and tenants in the banking, pharmaceutical, retail, manufacturing and technology sectors. 

Leanne assists numerous small-to-medium sized enterprises (SME) with leases and lease-related issues.

She worked in-house for a major pharmaceutical distribution corporation with a national lease portfolio and for Canada's largest supermarket and pharmacy retailer.


  • Elanco Animal Health Incorporated (NYSE: ELAN) in the sale of its Victoria, Prince Edward Island (PEI) aqua research and development facility to The Center for Aquaculture Technologies Canada.
  • Acts for a major charitable corporation in all aspects of its real estate/leasing portfolio.
  • Helped two technology companies relocate their head offices in 2017.
  • Negotiates complex lease agreements for clients including office, banking, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, warehouse, office and retail.
  • Represents SME clients with prioritizing lease issues and streamlining lease negotiations.
  • Advises tenants and landlords on the interpretation and enforcement of commercial leases.
